Lettre de candidature

Mademoiselle My... B

Sought job: Community Manager, Editor, Translator, International Communications, International Relations, Global Studies, Business Communications, Marketing, Public Speaking, Social Media, Researcher

I am interested in
working in France as an International Community Manager I graduated from the University of Alabama
in Huntsville with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and French and a minor
in Global Studies. The concentration of my degree is in Social Media and International
Communications and Relations and will be continuing my studies for a Master’s
in International Business Management at Grenoble School of Business in Paris.

I have traveled across the world, thanks to my
father who was an ARMY Black Hawk Pilot. We first moved to South Korea where I
attended a Korean pre-school for a year. I then attended Kindergarten in
Germany and the beginning of Elementary school in New York. We moved to Belgium
where I continued my Elementary years in an American, Belgian and Canadian
school system. I spent my first three years of high school in Tunisia,
submersed in French private schools where I became completely fluent in the
French language. I did my senior year of high school in Vermont, and in 2010 I
attended UAH for four years, graduating as Magna Cum Laude in May 2014. I
worked hard on my degree, earning a 3.7/4 grade point average upon graduation
and I am a part of four Honor’s Societies. I love traveling and interacting
with different people, and was actively involved in various clubs as well as
President of the French Club. Since a very young age I was exposed to
international relations, and had the opportunity to meet expatriates,
international liaisons, ambassadors, and even significant political figures.

I have worked closely with various websites, blogs,
social media sites and other web platforms both in school and on my own. I have
developed my own websites using HTML and so I have become familiar with basic
coding. During my internship with the City of Huntsville (AL) in the
Multicultural Affairs Office (2013), I was in charge of editing, formatting and
sending out the Office’s weekly newsletter using a program called
CampaignMonitor. I was also working for my school paper, The Charger Times, as
the restaurant critic. During this time, I was the President of the French
Club, Secretary of the Charger Democrats, and an active member of the Political
Science Club at UAHuntsville and was in charge of the social media pages. I was
also a Model U.N delegate for two conferences in Atlanta. In 2012 (Tunisia), I
edited and translated a research article by Dr. Abderrazak Dhouai, an economics
professor at the Faculté des Sciences Economiques et de Gestions de Sousse. His
article is titled “Animal Spirits and Trading Volume in International Financial
Markets between 2002 and 2011”. I have also recently been appointed as the
Community Manager and Editor of the Facebook page for the American British
Irish Club of Sousse and the assistant to the American warden of Sousse.

A position in a field such as Community Manager would not only allow me to
use my skills in communications, social media and international relations but
to learn and improve myself in other skill sets. I enjoy interacting with
people, and through my experience I have become skilled at paying attention to
detail and quick effective problem solving. I work very well under pressure,
and can balance a few tasks at once. I adapt quickly to any job, and I am fast
to learn new skills. I believe I would be a valuable asset to the company and
want to thank you for reviewing my application. I believe working for a company who's main line of work is media, journalism, creation and working globally will
be a valuable opportunity to place me in a dynamic and challenging environment.
I believe that my extensive knowledge and experience with social media
platforms and communications will make me the ideal choice for this position.

Thank you for your consideration.
